Un’altra innovativa linea di ricerca al +LAB riguarda la sperimentazione sui materiali compositi, da sempre utilizzati per realizzare prodotti ad elevate prestazioni, in grado di coniugare proprietà meccaniche, elettriche e termiche, in applicazioni diverse ed avanzate. La ricerca si sta qui focalizzando sull’utilizzo di resine termoplastiche e termoindurenti caricate con differenti tipi di rinforzo, come nanotubi di carbonio e fibre (lunghe e corte) di vetro e carbonio.

Another innovative research path +LAB is leading is the experimentation with composite materials, which are employed in high-performance products manufacturing and are able to combine mechanical, electrical and thermical properties in various and advanced fields of applications. Here research is focusing on the usage of thermoplastic and thermosetting resins joined with different kinds of reinforcements, as carbon nanotubes, carbon fiber or fiberglass.
